The Compressor Tech/Sr. Compressor Tech operates and performs in-depth preventative maintenance on natural gas
engines, motors and gas compressors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Starts up and shuts down gas compressor units while planning maintenance and repairs of all equipment.
* Analyzes and takes readings (pressure, temperature, interstage temperature and pressure, volumes) to
optimize operations.
* Performs advanced troubleshooting and repairs of gas fired engines, electric motors and compressors.
* Provides advanced troubleshooting and performs major PM maintenance including analyzing operation and making
adjustments to dehydration units.
* Tests and repairs ESD systems (Emergency Shut Down).
* Carries out operational tasks such as blow drips, empty tanks, refill fluids and check tanks levels.
* Operates, maintains and tests chillers and flare systems.
* Adjusts and repairs pressure regulation systems and pneumatic systems.
* Checks and maintains glycol levels, circulation rates, glycols' contents to optimize operations by analyzing
operation parameters.
* Repairs and troubleshoots manual and automated controls on compressor units to optimize compressor
through-put.
* Uses advanced computerized data base to receive work orders, record PM's, record repairs, runs reports and
designs PM task. REQUIREMENTS:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* At least three years of related mechanical experience.
* Formal mechanical training or certification.
* Associate's degree in applied science preferred.
