Our Everett Branch services Snohomish County with employment opportunities currently in the Edmonds/Lynnwood area.
As a Physical Therapist with Gentiva, you will:
*Test/screen the patient's physical strengths to assist the physician in evaluating the patient's level of function and
record findings to develop or pursue treatment programs and establish measurable training objectives.
*Develop/implement a conditioning/rehabilitation program consistent with physician's Plan of Treatment and the overall
goals of the patient/rehab team. Adjust treatment as needed to achieve maximum results.
*Confer with physician and other team members to obtain additional patient information and assist in developing,
implementing, and revising the therapy treatment program and Plan of Treatment.
*Integrate physical therapy with other aspects of patient's healthcare and training needs in accordance with physician's
orders. Participate in family education meetings.
*Coordinate, oversee, supervise, instruct, and evaluate Physical Therapy Assistants' performance in implementing
physical therapy services. Train Physical Therapy Assistants to implement treatment protocols and collect data on
patient progress as permitted by policy and regulation.
*Act as a liaison and maintain contact with patients, physicians, Clinical Manager(s) and other members of the
healthcare team and the community in assuring effective care coordination and appropriate resource referrals.
Qualifications
*Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program (approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, the
Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and/or the American Physical
Therapy Association) and meet any additional qualifications as stated in state homecare regulations
*Six months of experience
*Current licensure/certification in the state of practice and current CPR certification
*Good organizational and communications skills
*Ability to function with minimal supervision Benefits
