seeking an experienced senior strategist to lead business analysis and strategy development efforts for an evolving
portfolio of incubation projects and new businesses that will span our core industry focus areas. Director will help key
senior product leaders across E&D to explore, refine and evaluate new business and product concepts and develop
differentiated and sustainable business models to drive those opportunities. Strategy Director will utilize many of the
traditional tools and methodologies of rigorous strategic analysis - competitive mapping and market trends, business
modeling and consumer demand analysis, price and value propositions, scenario planning etc - as well as more practical
execution and planning support and capability assessments to drive budgeting, buy/build decisions and resource
allocation decisions. Key skills Research and analysis: Perform competitive analysis, market sizing, business modeling,
value prop analysis and segmentation and other tools/strategy frameworks & methodologies to refine business
opportunities and help drive decision-making across multiple sectors Strong analytical and quantitative skills as well
as team-leading experience in a project management environment. Knowledge of Internet, mobile telecommunications,
consumer electronics, media and/or gaming segments preferred MBA previous experience in a top-tier strategy consulting
firm, investment banking, corporate/business development or venture capital/private equity experience preferred 8 to 10
years of relevant experience. E&D Strategy team supports the CFO and E&D business groups to make sound decisions with a
solid foundation of financial, market and customer insights. Group's tasks include supporting business group strategy
development, E&D business incubation efforts, coordination of the Microsoft annual review process as well as
cross-divisional strategic planning, portfolio assessment and business intelligence and industry trend monitoring. Team
interacts with CSG and other Microsoft divisions to ensure knowledge sharing and support key initiatives as needed.
