for a world-class PR professional to lead our Developer, blogger, and MVP communities outreach. MCB, a fast growing and
dynamic business with global scope, needs high powered talent to help drive worldwide communications and events for
Windows Mobile devices. As a strategic member of the MCB marketing organization, with specific responsibilities for
public relations, you will have a unique worldwide opportunity to raise awareness of Windows Mobile as a great developer
platform while working with the blogging and MVP communities to evangelize Windows Mobile. Your responsibilities will
include: o Driving the thought leadership and strategy for Windows Mobile communications for the developer community
including defining and creating integrated PR campaigns with the support of agency resources that shift perceptions and
raise awareness of our products worldwide. o Creating perception changing strategies to nontraditional influentials
(bloggers) in the global marketplace. o Build and maintain relationships with, and educate and support the online
blogging community and MVPs so they independently evangelize Windows Mobile o Developing and executing plans for
communication to top industry analysts and reviewers who are focused on developer issues and technologies o Ability to
act as a spokesperson who secures compelling coverage o Defining the "developer stories" we need to tell via
executive speaking engagements. o Create and implement integrated PR campaigns with worldwide reach and execution o Work
closely with MCB PR teammates, other BG PR managers, and product teams to develop appropriate messaging & positioning
for the developer community o Identify or evaluate optimal media opportunities with the PR agency o Provide strategic PR
counsel and market intelligence to internal Microsoft marketing, product management and planning teams The position
requires exceptional communication, writing, strategic thinking and organizational management skills. The ability to
translate technical concepts into easy-to-understand consumer messages is crucial. The candidate should also be a
self-starter who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion effectively under tight
deadlines. Such projects will demand strong working relationships and interactions with media, analysts, partners,
senior executives, technical leaders, and other product & marketing groups within Microsoft. Qualifications also include
a minimum of 7 years related experience in the high-tech industry in a PR, analyst relations or product manager
position. A proven track record of working with analysts and external agencies is a plus. Some travel required.
Experience in the mobile market or developer community also a plus, but is not necessary. Finally, great candidates
should be energetic with a passionate desire to positively impact millions of customers around the world - and the
