professional services, and industrial/depot services. Job Description: The Field Service Representative (FSR) will
support the NECC Riverine Group One family of small craft (Riverine Patrol Boat (RPB), Riverine Assault Boat (RAB), 11m
Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB), and Combat Reconnaissance Rubber Craft (CRRC) and additional craft acquired
throughout the life of the contract. This position will provide on-site guidance and support to USN
mechanics/maintenance staff. Advise and assist with Design Changes to improve system efficiency and reduce Cost of
Operation. Assists with development and performance of preventative maintenance; maintains performance and maintenance
records for Engineering/Program review. Consult with Program Management acting as direct liaison with customer on major
issues pertaining to tasks, plans, objectives and contractual obligations. Produce monthly reports indicating material
usage, maintenance actions, correspondence and other program related documentation. Conduct Material Condition
Assessments of the craft. The Field Service Representative (FSR) will ensure timeliness, accuracy, and reporting of all
repairs on the craft. The FSR will provide training to organic maintenance personnel or solicit help through Raytheon if
needed. The FSR will serve as the primary communication channel between RIVGRU ONE Forward Units and Raytheon. The FSR
will be work in close proximity to the Navy Personnel in RivGru1 Forward Units. The FSR shall have expertise on the
boats, combined with first hand knowledge of the environment to help identify what parts are broken due to deficiencies
in equipment, and document trends with parts failures, as well as assess if any parts are broken due to negligence on
the part of the boat coxswain/captain of the Company. The FSR will be utilized both on the water and in the rear to
assist with all PMS, Quality Control, and major replacements/troubleshooting. Approximately 4 weeks (non continuous) of
training will be provided to each FSR. It is essential that the FSR witness the craft on the waterways and assesses
overall performance. The FSR will assist in acquiring hard-to-get parts. FSR will provide direct liaison between
RivGru1Forward Units and Raytheon within the following areas: -On site determination of warranty related issues; -Direct
requisitioning of required parts and consumables; -Technical consultation concerning any maintenance or repair issues;
-Assisting RivGru1 Forward Units' mechanics with correctly performing both scheduled and corrective maintenance actions.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Proven engineering and general electrical, electronic, and mechanical
maintenance background with in a technical environment working closely with Military and DoD agencies. Familiar with
marine diesel engines, marine gear, jet-drive propulsion systems or other large engine repair and overhaul experience.
Extensive knowledge of craft communications aids, navigation aids and electrical systems. Must be able to read and
interpret schematic/assembly drawings in the process of troubleshooting and repairing small craft beyond the "O" Level.
Must be computer literate with MS Office applications. Required Education: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or
Mechanical Engineering Technology OR Associate Degree in a technical field and 6 years of relevant experience OR HS and
10 years experience.Other Requirements (Clearance, Travel, or Special Work Environment): Primary place of performance is
the Tidewater area of Virginia. Must be willing and able to travel to Iraq to meet USN customer needs. Note: There are
substantial financial rewards provided for any time that may be spent in Iraq.Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
In depth knowledge of small craft operations, Yanmar marine diesel engines, Evinrude outboard motors and pump jet,
Cummings marine diesel engines, Scania marine diesel engines, Hamilton Jet drive and ZF Gear transmission/gears. Be
familiar with Ray Marine and Furuno Electronic & Navigation equipment. Works well in a team environment; has strong
communication and analytical skills. Detail-oriented, capable of working closely with USN staff at customer site, with
minimal supervision in a semi-autonomous environment. Ability to review field support requirements and field support
plans and recommend beneficial updates. Perform maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for customers.
Participate in IPT reviews to contribute analysis of technical data and reports relating to support issues and
