and women's services. For nearly 40 years, Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas (PHD) has been serving patients
through a compassionate approach to rehabilitation, helping them toward their goal of regaining enjoyable and
productive lives. PHD offers a full array of focused Rehabilitation Services that employ a variety of therapy
options to address all stages of recovery, from inpatient to outpatient and lifelong follow-up care. Some
patients who have been hospitalized for surgery or a serious medical illness require ongoing care before they
can return to their homes and daily lives. Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas' inpatient rehabilitation unit is
dedicated to providing the individual attention to each patient's condition and need, striving to help them
achieve the best quality of life possible and to return to the highest level of independence possible. The
52-bed rehabilitation unit provides a full spectrum of services for strengthening and healing the whole
person. Seven days a week, patients are typically involved in three or more hours of combined physical,
occupational, speech and/or recreational therapy, for relearning lost skills. Treatment may include individual
therapy in the patient's room as well as group therapy. Family members are also invited to be fully included
in the patient education process (with the patient's consent.) Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas is seeking a
PRN Physical Therapist (Job Id# 15109) for the Acute Rehabilitation Team.Work Hours/Schedule: PRN (as needed)-
weekends and occasional weekdaysQualifications / Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy -
Current Texas Physical Therapy license - CPR certification for Healthcare Providers or must certify within 90

othersPreferred Qualifications / Requirements: - Acute rehab experience preferred Duties *Uses therapeutic
treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment.*Performs treatment procedures that
are within the scope of the professional license.*Performs/delegates technical procedures appropriately and
safely.*Utilizes a variety of treatment techniques to achieve goals, if necessary.*Determine patient response
to treatment and evaluate progress (reassessment).*Educates patient and family through instruction,
demonstration, or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs/self management and
assistive equipment.*Patient safety maintained throughout treatment *Communicates with physicians and other
healthcare personnel as appropriate regarding patient care issues*Demonstrates competence in the performance
