As a Records
Coordinator I with Gentiva , you will:
*Maintain all patient/employee records. Receive documentation from various
sources and distribute copies and originals to other office users as needed and ensure compliance to company records
policies.
*Prepare new clinical records and review them for accuracy, file all incoming documentation, and ensure
compliance to company procedures.
*Complete administrative record reviews and prepare discharge files.
*Respond
to and maintain a log of external information requests, research information, and provide copies to the appropriate
person. Record receipts of signed orders, log/mail physicians' orders, track orders, and notify the Clinical Manager
when signed orders cannot be obtained within policy allotted time frames.
*Contact vendors to order medical
supplies, maintain adequate inventory, and distribute requested supplies in an accurate and timely manner. Coordinate
with Clinical Manager regarding type and level of inventory, determine supply substitutions, and handle special
requests.
*Provide backup to data entry on admissions paperwork, enter billing/payroll information, and
process/forward paperwork to the appropriate processing center. Qualifications
*Accredited Records Technician Degree
*High School Diploma or the equivalent
*A minimum of three years clerical record-keeping experience
*One
year in a supervisory or lead role generally required
*Basic computer and data entry skills
*Good organizational
