Engineering to provide project and design engineering support for aircraft wheel and brake programs. Position
responsibilities include developing project plans, conducting tests, analyzing data, summarizing and reporting results,
conducting design reviews, maintaining records, writing reports, making presentations to customers and management,
directing activities of other engineering support functions, and interfacing with customers and OEMs (Original Equipment
Manufacturer) with some travel required. Preparing system test plans, supporting component and system testing, preparing
technical reports and proposals, preparing and presenting technical briefings to management and customers, preparing and
tracking schedules and budgets. Specific job duties include:-Developing project goals and objectives in support of
overall wheel and brake program goals and technical requirements.-Meeting schedule, cost targets, and technical
expectations through effective project leadership.-Preparing project plans and schedules to meet customer
needs.-Monitoring project progress while coordinating activities and resolving problems to meet scheduled
milestones.-Preparing project status reports and milestone reviews for management, customers, and other project
teams.-Monitoring expenditures and track non-recurring cost to control spending while meeting financial project
targets.-Provide project oversight by reviewing the technical work of others including designers, drafters, or other
engineers.-Provide leadership to new program teams and lead continuous improvement initiatives in design engineering or
across other teams.-Verify product performance through similarity, analysis, or full system and product
testing.-Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical
publications, benchmarking best practices, and/or participating in professional associations.-Represent the company on
specific projects to outside organizations including airlines, OEM, and technical/professional societies.Four year
degree in mechanical, aerospace, or industrial/manufacturing engineering with five-plus years experience in
design/project engineering, project management, test, analysis, product support, system design, or product development.
Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in mechanical, aerospace, or industrial/manufacturing engineering with
three-plus years experience in design/project engineering, project management, test, analysis, product support, system
