about. Are you ready? Business Purpose:
The Compliance Manager - MSLI Finance - is responsible for managing compliance program that assesses
compliance of internal processes and systems within Microsoft Licensing, GP (MSLI). The program is focused on
the design and operating effectiveness of processes and controls that impact revenue assurance, safeguarding
of Microsoft intellectual property, and other high impact/magnitude processes and systems.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Develop and manage the new audit and compliance program within MS Operations
Manage end-to-end responsibilities for the compliance programs and individual audit engagements to ensure
audits are appropriately performed within allotted time and budget
Collaborate with stakeholders to assess program specific risk factors and to select appropriate processes and
systems to audit. Maintain an audit program that ensures appropriate coverage and provides predictability
Ensure enterprise wide consistency of audit procedures and approach
Gain a thorough understanding of the underlying business models so as to provide informed insight and
recommendations to business owners and key stakeholders
Engage audit resources to conduct audit engagements and maintain effective relationships with other compliance
teams and audit resources
Establish an appropriate communication plan with business owners and key stakeholders to engage them with
regard to audit results and activity. Communications will include audit reporting, quarterly business reviews,
and annual planning reviews
Assess adequacy of corrective action provided business partners and track issues until corrective action is
taken
Provide advice to business owners with regard to risks that arise in new key areas and ways to mitigate them
with better controls and a compliance program
Manage additional work requirements or projects as the need arises
Remain current and increase knowledge in the areas of auditing, accounting, business, company products and
company information through self-study and/or continuing education efforts
Requirements/ Qualifications:
A BS/BA degree in related field
Minimum 7 years of demonstrated work experience in internal audit, public accounting or a combination of these
and diversified private industry experience in operational finance or contract management/compliance roles
Demonstrated experience assessing business practices for risks, articulating findings, building a case for
action, and driving change
Demonstrated program/project management work experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate well across a broad
spectrum of audiences.
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated success collaborating cross functionally
Ability to defend conclusions and negotiate appropriate resolution
Advanced competency level with Microsoft PC applications including: excel, word, power point, outlook.At MSLI,
