The Prince George’s County Teaching Fellows is looking for talented, motivated career-changers and recent
college graduates dedicated to joining us in changing the quality of education provided to the students of
Prince George’s County. This is an opportunity for outstanding individuals from all academic backgrounds to
become part of an initiative that will provide them with intensive preparation over the summer and allow them
to begin teaching in the fall of 2009. No previous experience in education is necessary.
Program participants will earn a full-time teacher’s salary and benefits while pursing a Maryland Standard
Professional Certificate through a partnership with the Maryland Practitioner Teacher Program.
Individuals interested in teaching Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education,
English, Math, Science, Spanish, or Vocal Music are encouraged to apply. A Bachelor’s degree (conferred by
June 1, 2009) is required.
