including the distinguished Magnet Recognition for Nursing Excellence from the American Nurses Association Credentialing
Center; a designation of best in Georgia and top five percent in the nation for cardiac and vascular programs.


The Nurse Auditor serves as a clinical resource in the area of billing compliance. Performs pre-bill and defense audits
comparing the medical record to the patient bill (UB04/1500). Uses medical chart audit software for reporting
statistical reports by department and reports these findings to Senior Administration through the Revenue Cycle Steering
Committee. Reporting monthly total pre-bill audits by department, total gross charges, over charges and under charges,
final determination of error rates, and any recommendations seen relative to documentation and charging practices.
Conducts charge capture process in-services for clinical staff and new hospital personnel. Coordinates audit scheduling
with outside auditors, medical records, and designated department heads. Communicates routinely to the Director of
Reimbursement Audit Services any potential compliance and billing issues. The qualified candidate will have at least
five years of experience, as a Registered Nurse in the health care industry or Federal/State billing compliance.
Demonstrated ability to work with dynamic groups and issues, to obtain needed information / cooperation from all parts
of the organization, to independently identify issues related to Revenue Cycle Compliance. Valid Georgia Registered
Nursing License. Certified in coding or as a RN auditor, a plus. Certification required within one year of
employment.
