Staff Pharmacist I - PT31172Saint Joseph's facility is Atlanta's oldest hospital. Today, the 410-bed, acute-care
facility is recognized as one of the top specialty-referral hospitals in the Southeast. Saint Joseph's has received
numerous awards including the distinguished Magnet Recognition for Nursing Excellence from the American Nurses
Association Credentialing Center; a designation of best in Georgia and top five percent in the nation for cardiac and
vascular programs.
The Pharmacist, enters orders into IDX, or verifies orders entered by Pharmacy Technicians;
dispenses medications and preparations according to orders written by physicians and other practitioners authorized by
Law to prescribe to the adult and pediatric (if applicable) patient population, and when in the IV Room. Supervises all
activities of the IV Admixture Services; participates in Pharmaceutical Care, and on an as need basis, rotates through
the Surgery and Critical Care Satellites; complies with hospital and department policies and procedures, and supports
the Mercy Philosophy of the hospital.
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an
accredited School of Pharmacy. Current State of Georgia registration. Two years of experience, or applicable externship
in a hospital pharmacy with emphasis on Oncology and Cardiac Pharmacology.
