seeking Director of Regional Engineering to be responsible for supervising the team of Regional Sports Network Engineers
across the U. S. This position will work out of Atlanta, GAResponsibilities:* As a member of the management team the
Director of Regional Engineering will responsible for managing the overall technical design, following Fox Engineering
standards, for each RSN location* Provides engineering support and guidance to the Regional EICs during planning
processes for the facility upgrades and technical projects; facility design input, project & budget management support,
and oversee HD upgrades to the facility* Works with the Fox NE&O engineering team to provide the Regional Engineers
support and recommendations regarding existing and new technologies to fulfill technical requirements for there
facility* Provides systems design assistance, broadcast equipment recommendations for a cost effective conclusion.*
Assists with developing RFP's for release to potential broadcast system integrators, section process and assist
overseeing all phases of the major system projects* Reports important RSN facility issues to NE&O management and works
promptly with the RSN Engineering staff to take corrective courses of action.* Administrates procedures regarding the
RSN operations with Fox NE&O and Fox Network Center - Houston* Communicates effectively with departments to understand &
fulfill their requirements by contributing technical expertise and recommending solutions to fulfill the requirements as
needed.* Provides support tracking the RSN capital projects and the planning of future capital budgets
needsRequirements:* Minimum 5 years of experience in television engineering management is required; Strong experience in
a file based workflow desired. Experience in a High-Definition production facility desired* Bachelors Degree or
equivalent experience in electronics or broadcast engineering or communications preferred; CCNA and MCSE certification
desired* Must be knowledgeable in all areas of production, master control and familiar with all Broadcast Television
equipmentMust possess strong systems implementation experience and skills; Auto-CAD & Visio experience desired* Strong
reasoning skills & technical troubleshooting skills essential* Ability to clearly convey ideas and concepts to support
management business objectives is essential* Must possess Analytical/Reasonable mathematical skills required* Must be
knowledgeable in all areas of technical production, and familiar with all production equipment and networking. * Must be
a self starter who pays attention to details and has strong communication/people skills.* Must update skills and
knowledge to keep pace with changing technology.* Must be open to travel and have the ability to work long
hours/flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends and holidays in this fast pace, Live TV environment
