Teacher33Eckerd Youth Alternatives, Inc., a leader in therapeutic educational programs for youth-at-risk, seeks a
Teacher for our outdoor therapeutic program.Teacher needed to provide non-traditional educational experience for each
youth through implementation of established curricula, with emphasis on hands-on and work related experiences. Serve on
Treatment Teams to ensure integration of educational goals in treatment plan. Carry out diagnostic testing, as
needed.Bachelor's degree required. Degree in Education preferred. Teaching certification appropriate to state
requirements. Two years successful teaching experience required. Must have desire to work with at risk youth. Must show
proficiency in analytical, verbal, and writing skills. Also must possess skills in creativity and critical judgment.
Must be able to complete CPR, first aid and crisis intervention training. Must be qualified basic skills instruction,
development and use of learning centers, experiential education, IEPs, treatment plans. Must interface effectively at
all organization levels, commitment to professional standards and personal development. Must maintain appropriate and
