Information Systems methodologies and customized software applications in the fields of floodplain analysis, stormwater
management, surface water quality, and wetland mitigation banking and restoration. Watershed Concepts is searching for a
GIS Specialist to: Successfully manage and lead a team towards accomplishing goals and objectives FEMA DFIRM projects
and various GIS projects. The ideal candidate will work with the project team and outside contractors, coordinate with
junior staff and be a natural problem-solver and fast learner, and have the ability to manage people and projects
simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Job Requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability
to successfully market the skills and expertise of the GIS Department through conferences and requests for proposals.
Advanced knowledge and experience in the following: ArcView 3.x, ArcGIS 8.x, 9.x, including ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcPad,
ArcIMS, and ArcSDE, Microsoft Acess, SQL Server, AutoCAD and Microstation software packages. Experience in database
design and management and geospatial data processing including complex data translations (editing, creation, projection,
maintenance, query, and analysis). Bachelor's degree in Geography or related field. 5-7 years of experience in related
field required. Experience with FEMA DFIRM's specific floodplain mapping processes including QA/QC and compilation of
FIS deliverables,preferred Experience with ArcHydro, WISE and FLO-2D preferred EOE M/F/VD
