The categories of arts, entertainment and publishing encompass a tremendous range of career opportunities. A BFA or MFA is the standard educational path for those interested in art jobs, including careers in theater and the visual and plastic arts. Marketing and management degrees and/or experience are useful for many types of film, television or music jobs. And despite the death knell being sounded perennially for literacy in the U.S., publishing jobs in production, editorial, marketing and publicity are as necessary as ever.
