* Less administrative paperwork As a Pay Per Visit Medical Social Worker, you will:
*Instruct, treat, observe
and evaluate patients exhibiting significant social and emotional problems affecting their health status.
*Assist
the physician and other health team members in understanding the significant social and emotional factors related to the
patient's health problems.
*Participate in the development and periodic re-evaluation of the physician's Plan of
Treatment for patients needing social work services.
*Utilize special skills and judgment to resolve social and
emotional responses connected with the illness.
*Observe, record, and report changes in patients' condition and
response to treatment to the Clinical Manager and physician. Participate in the discharge planning process.
Qualifications
*Master's Degree from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education

*Six months social work experience in a healthcare setting. If working in a Medicaid/Medicare certified home health
agency, the Medical Social Worker must have at least one year experience in a healthcare setting
*Current
licensure/certification in the state(s) of practice if required expect more from Mid South Home Health
