Schools:
The Bay Area is one of the best places in the country to pursue an engineering degree. Stanford and the University of California Berkeley were ranked #2 and #3 respectively in the latest U.S. News & World Report list of Best Engineering Schools. The University of California San Francisco and University of California Santa Cruz were also on the list. Graduates of these programs will be well-equipped to secure engineering jobs in San Francisco or elsewhere.
Employers:
Access to investment dollars and skilled workers has brought many engineering firms to the San Francisco area. The city's natural beauty doesn't hurt, either. Some of the major providers of California engineering jobs in the Bay Area include URS Corporation, Bechtel Corporation and Degenkolb.
