Schools:
Architecture is one of the most education-intensive professions an individual can pursue. There are several educational paths that can lead to a career as an architect. Most aspiring architects pursue a five-year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree. If you are an architecture graduate who wishes to specialize or you hold a bachelor's degree in an architecture-related subject, then you'll need to complete a two-year master's program. If you possess a bachelor's degree in a non-architectural field and decide that designing and constructing buildings or other structures is your calling, then completion of a three or four-year Master of Architecture program will be necessary. A license must also be obtained in order to qualify for Arizona architecture jobs. Arizona schools accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board include the University of Arizona College of Architecture; Arizona State University School of Architecture; and Taliesin, the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture.
Employers:
Some of the most respected firms providing Arizona jobs in architecture are The Orcutt/Winslow Partnership; Burns Wald-Hopkins Shambach Architects; SmithGroup; Swaim Associates, Ltd.; Architekton; and Jones Studio, Inc.
